There is a collective there, they call themselves tra la la blip. According to their myspace the bands that currently comprise tra la la blip are wash your hands, honey dance, msg (movers soothers and groovers). Incidentally their page doubles as their website and the only place I've found to listen to their music.
This group of musicians sets itself apart from the rest in that every one of them has a physical and/or mental disability. Experimenting with different gadgets, they have come up with a synthetic sound that rivals the beats of other groups despite their challenges.
The current album, Soundbeam Sessions Volume 1, is their first release, and the hand-stamped limited edition copies are nearly sold out. Their myspace promises a follow up album to follow.
